project Summary:

UPMC Clinical Laboratories in Oakland, PA was designed to receive diagnostic specimen samples via an existing underground pneumatic tube system connecting several facilities. For this 10 story clinical lab space, Clista Electric was contracted to perform electrical services for the design assist Critical Path Method (CPM) project. Project highlights include BIM/Navisworks coordination, as well as participation in CPM schedule development and maintenance. We provided numerous accepted value engineering proposals and collaborated with design professionals.  By doing so, we completed design, power distribution system, and high voltage terminations at the Duquesne Light vault.

Other electrical installation activities for the lab included a low-voltage lighting system and blower equipment for Swiss log system.  In addition, we coordinated all lab casework power – including all building systems, daily job safety analysis, new emergency power, and life safety system.  Finally, we refurbished the existing generator and installed a new generator on the roof.
