project Summary:

Balvanera opened its second location in The Strip District Terminals in 2023.  The first location is in NYC, and they wanted the Pittsburgh location to reflect the same warm and vibrant social energy. To help achieve the look the Clista Electric team needed to run cables through 12 inches of solid wood floors and install remote lighting controls.   The team collaborated with the architects to create custom built lighting for the bar that becomes a focal point.

GREATEST CHALLENGES/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bar display lighting was custom designed, routed, and inlayed through a joint effort with the architects, electricians, and owners.
  • The routing of conduit/cables through 12 inches of solid wood floors required a unique installation process.
  • The density and complexity of the wireless lighting controls created many challenges.
