project Summary:

Penn Hills School District built a brand new high school comprised of a two-story classroom wing,  multiple high-bay gymnasium spaces, and a high-bay, two-story auditorium. To provide adequate daylight for learning, the space features continuous skylights throughout the main corridors.

As part of the initial build out of the high school, Clista worked with the Penn Hills School District to provide a single 5,000 amp electric service and a 400 KW generator.  These units provide power to the building and emergency power for lighting, fire pump, UPS, and miscellaneous equipment. The lighting design included LED fixtures along with solar powered pole mounted fixtures at remote locations on the site. There is an electronic bulletin board system with interactive controls for students to view content. Classroom audio/visual systems include interactive marker boards, projector and classroom sound system. Security is provided with a state of the art integrated video surveillance and access control system along with emergency code blue stations in the parking lots. Working closely with the general contractor, we made sure our work met the client’s needs – ensuring a smooth opening for the school year.
